I will warn you now, they are heavy. Quite the bear to get unstuck! (I own one...my dad now rides it.)
They had issues with the motor. Be sure to ask if it has ever been rebuilt, and/or the 'updates' done. There was not adequate oil flow to the third cylinder, and the motor tended to let loose because of it. There needed to be a hole drilled into the third cylinder. I know that's not the most technical, but I had mine rebuilt 3-4 years ago, so I don't exactly remember my mechanic explaining it to me.
Other than that, yes, they run like a raped ape. Mine is kind of a lemon...runs better in the summer than winter. My mechanic has gone over it a few times, and claim it runs fine, which it always does...for him! [|)]
