I've added about 28 new pics to my site. They were taken with 2 different Sony digital cameras. Some of the pics on the site show up bigger than the others.

*Figured it out I think. Some of the pics were taken with the cam set to 1240x768 and some were at 640x480.

I took it out riding Sunday. I was just getting used to the 550. After riding that the 700 feels like a rocket.

It's going to take a little getting used to, but I love it so far. The power is awesome. Now I'm back at work and won't be able to ride for the next 2 weeks and the snow is awesome.

hey, what does that 550 top out at. This guy said his only got 70mph on hardpack. Does that seem about right?

Yeah, it sounds about right. I had mine at 70 once. That's pretty close to top speed on it. Might have hit 75.

It seems like you could get more than 70....Hmmm, I'm sure it varies from machine but anyway, I have a AC 600 and on hardpack I can get over 100 mph

, my speedometer stops at 100......I did it on a lake a month ago, it was crazy!! I actually have video of it too, I am making a snowmobiling movie right now, and should have a preview this weekend if anyone is interested in seeing it. If you guys want to check out a webpage I am starting on, I have the address at the bottom.....send me any pictures of you snowmobiling and I can put it up! I don't have much up yet cause I just started it but give it time......Later all!

A friend of mine has the Polaris Sport Touring 550, and he claims he can get 95+ on his. I know it's not the same machine .. but .. he's a pretty heavy guy too! My dad's 440 Tran Sport will only go about 65 ... but it goes there in a hurry.

I have a 01 yamaha phazer 500 and I can get it up to 70 (highest I got it so far) without the throttle all the way down. So I am believing I can get it up to 80 atleast 90 if im lucky and 100 if my machine is tuned enouph

on a fan 500? i find that pretty tough to believe, but if it's true, then my 500 ought to do about 120 when properly tuned
