After reading through and all my god I want one so freaking bad!! I have always wanted a 440 liquid race sled and this beauty just makes me drool then curl in a ball and cry cause I will almost 100% never have one :'( Just sent a pic to Erick for my Avatar ;). I changed it to the Viper today but then I found THIS BEAUTY!!!

I dunno, I think that sled looks pretty ugly. Just doesn't appeal to me in the least.

Almost seems like Cat ripped off Yamaha's hood.

That's my opinion anyway, not a bash of the sled.

Ok, after I change your picture, I am gonna make the viper available for anyone to use.

Yeah it looks like its got a big nose and a fat lip. Just my opinion. Don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful.... [ chuckle ]

I have to give Cat a lot of credit, just when I thought the other brands were catching up on there race sled Cat came out with a lot of new innovations (even if it is ugly). It seems like Doo and Polaris are always playing catch up on the track. Just one question, wouldn't you get a lot snow in the air induction being right on the nose??
Also noticed the headlights appear to have a 4 bulb system. Haven't come across that before.

I'm waiting to see how the longer narrow track does in holeshot. It will be interesting to see how the 1.5" Doo track hooks up compared to the others 1.375" also. Just need cold temps in Duluth so the race won't get cancelled again!!
I love this sled. I had longed for a Polaris Pro X 440 but I found out that it isn't oil injected and requires 110 octane gas. This sled doesn't and is oil injected. I want it so freaking bad. And yes I think it is a big time rip on the Vipers hood design. And the reason for the size of the hood is the exhaust with the reversed engine. If you see a blade in person they look(and feel when sat on) very tall. It is because of their exhaust system. And Erick I had a feeling you would be doing that with the Viper avatar.

I like the machine the looks are little awkward to the standard. Not sure if I would want a narrow track, But the cats seat has been a little too wide for comfort. I do like the fuel tank with it's multi purpose style. The color is just a little too much green.

Now that is one mean looking sled! I do agree that it does look alot like the viper, but that is a good thing!! I wonder if that design is what they will move toward for their ZR's also. That would rock! Also, skippy....you from Duluth?

HOLY CRAP BATMAN!!!!! I want one, and I want it now! It has taken a little while to become acustom to the new body style, but it rocks! AC has really out done themselves this time! And I love that 128" track!

Intended, I am from Southern WI. But I usaully do most of my riding by Danbury, Wi. It is about 40 miles south of Superior. My friend and I want to take an overnight ride to the North Shore, never riden sleds there and looks like it would be a fun ride.
I know a kid whose dad is an A Cat dealer. He quoted me a price of $7500 retail on the new snopro and $5400 with a real good race resume he said. Unless you are Tucker Hibbert and your dad works at A Cat and you are about the number 1 racer then it is free I am sure.
I talked to a guy who got one of those things, he races in our area, he says "It's ugly as $hit, but has some nice features"

He did is first race on a 1995 XCR 440 SP then when he started racing properly, he got a Z 440 Fan because our closest dealer is a Cat dealer, now he like the guy running it, but he says he'd rather ride Polaris.

I prefer cat and I love that beast so much. All I have to say.
Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure they will make a really good showing on the track this year.
