enlighten me to the new 99 xcr 800 i just picked up...between 130-140bs of compression with green slides (prone to cracking?) have plans to tackle waterpump and do a severe cleaning...maybe swap over to Gen2 Plastics??

All stock with some high mileage on the chassis, over 10k but motor is fresh and she runs!

Did the same thing last summer on my 2001. Mine still has the green slides but that is because I put over 700.00 in mine. They ran fine this winter but I am going to replace them this summer. I took every nut and bolt off of it. I switched them to stainless steel and clearcoated almost everything. Took a long time but man, it sure looks sweet.
