Hi guys! It's nice to find a snowmobile board!
I have a Indy 500 SP EFI with some issues.
It doesn't start on one pull like it used to, the ready light goes out a lot quicker than before, and it idles around 2500 rpm......oh ya, and I can't get rid of a low end bog. It has a rebuilt engine with forged pistons, new clutch, goes like mad on the top end.
Where do you get an efi diagnostic manual for these things?
Any help is appreciated!

I dunno much about efi, so I can't really help u there.

The low end bog is a clutching adjustment, which I have explained somewhere else, I"ll find the link and post it for you.

welcome wsln6, i agree that its probably a clutch deal, there isnt much to mess up as far as e.f.i. as far as a shop manual, have you tried places online such as www.denniskirk.com, or anyplace that sells aftermarket accessories? i have a buddy that used to own a few polaris efi's, i will ask him and see what he thinks, and get back to you at this post.

i was thinking it was a clutch adjustment as well, but it even bogs a bit when you blip the throttle. It seems like the sled won't even move unless it is fully warmed up. brup brup brup ding ding ding and so forth.....bog bog go!

i was just reminded of something, we had a 93 500 l/c that would bog out when you tripped the throttle. it had the same symptoms that you described, (as far as the bogging) my old roommate had put some old plugs in it, these had been fouled,by me when i rolled one night, but i put fresh plugs in it a day later, and it seemed to run alot better, even cold. i guess this could be a start for you, another thing, how long has it been sitting,(summer storage), did you use any kind of fuel stabilizer, old gas, bad or partially clogged injector? i will see what else i can dig up, also hows the fuel filter?

Try a new battery ( and make sure it is fully charged). Otherwise a secondary fuel filter (large one). Poalris has it for around $50, but you can get one from NAPA for about $20.
