Just spent the weekend running east of Kenora ON through Vermillion Bay, Ear Falls, Dryden. Great trails and snow conditions. Nice lake running too. I had a blast. I hated to leave this morning with a couple of inches of fresh powder coming down and more to come.

You have to start out a little east of Kenora though. The club there has been in a legal battle with some land owners and the OFSC or something. As such, they aren't keeping the local trails up and it's brutal. Once you're past Kenora though, it's great.

yeah i was out in the kenora area around Christmas. The trails were as you said in brutal condition. But what a difference in sinage out there. We went to Grand Beach awhile ago and the trails are marked with cautions and directional arrows but nothing to navigate by. We figured it out but in ontario they tell you were you are all the time and how far you are from the next place.Crazy
