97 yamaha vmax600 xtc new plugs, new belt, cleaned carbs and replaced main jets and pilot jets.Still has a little hesitation on takeoff. I would expect a quicker response. Once it gets going it runs well and accelerates well. Starts great.HELP PLEASE?????

The hesitation probably has to do with the clutching, i'd look into getting a clutch kit for it.

have you sychronized your carbs that will make it hesitate make sure they both open at the exact same time i am not a mechanic but i know my sled bogged when i hade that problem good luck

Im with you I have 97 vmax and it does the same thing. I think Im going to take it in and have the clutch done on it and hopefully they will be able to lead me in the right way to fix it. I swear I dont thin I will ever buy another Yamaha again because mine runs like shit

Clutching sounds like the prob to me too. when was the last time the clutch was cleaned??belt dust build is a killer and can rob ya
