Hi I am 16 and visit this site quite frequently because i have a snowmobile. I am in a small engines class at school and we have worked on small engines all year and now we are going to get old lawn mowers and soup them up and what not and then race them on field day. There are 4 guys in each group...and we have access to pretty many tools including grinders, welders, torches, and what not. I was wondering if you guys had any ways to soup up a lawn mower that isn't to complicated and not to expensive. thanks

Here is a good start that I found for you.
Sounds like fun. Do you have a mower yet?

Find a 1000cc RX-1 engine and drop it in the mower.

Find an old snowmobile engine and mount it in there.
I recently found an old AC Jag 440cc engine that's going in my Go-Cart. $30 for the engine...LOL! I can't wait to hit the throttle!
