i have a 02 edge x 600 and i want to gear it quite a bit lower i only want to go round 90
the only mod i have is a sno stuff rumble pack

i would like to know the best gears to throw in it????

Not sure what is in their for gears but you should be able to safely drop 1-2 gears. I dropped 2 on my 98 700 and it would only do 95 mph but it got their quick.

You're stock gears are 23/39 with a 74 pitch chain. You can go 21/40 and keep your 74 pitch chain, you'll be geared to do 90 mph. Should be a fun set up.I just did a gear swap on my sled, I went down one on top up one on bottom, just need snow to test it out.

going by my jackshaft rpm chart stock gear is 23top/39bottom w/70 pitch chain, at 8000 rpm(this is engine operating RPM) Miles per hour is 101.3mph, if you change the top gear to 23 and bottom to 43 and chain to 72 pitch, you will achieve 91.9mph, there is all different kinds of combinations possible, You just have to make sure they will work w/your chain case, (this info came out of a 2002 polaris service manual)
