Does any one know when adjusting the oil pump on a 1998 ski-doo 380 .Do you hold the throttle open and align the marks ,or do you leave the throttle closed and align the other marks.

i think you leave it closes, make surew the idle is set right first, otherwise when full throttl you may not be using enough oil

I believe if you align it for idle, it should automaticlly be aligned then when opened all the way. But check the marks to be sure. Thats the way it is on my Polaris.

My 97 Yamaha 600 is the oposite you hold the throttle wide open and align the marks I set it up the same as the Ski-doo and used 2 liters of oil in 110 km thats 70 miles US.
That is why I wondered if I did the Ski-Doo wrong.

2 liters of oil burned in 110 km (70 miles)??? Holy crap!!! I'd hate to be behind that sled on a long day's ride...
