Anyone know the paint code or color name for a 1997 Polaris Indy XLT Special 600?
It is Purple metallic, but I can't seem to find the Polaris color name or paint code. I have spent $65 already for the wrong 11oz. spray, non-refunable paint from Color-Rite (Royal Plum metallic and midnight blue metallic) neither color was even close!! HELP ME!![/size=4]
i have a 93 xlt sp and i also have the owners manual, in my manual it gives the paint code for polaris paint part number as well as ppg's code, if you have you manual, look in there, or call your local polaris dealer for the numbers.
more than likely i would say anyone that has the same year 97 xlt sp would be able to help out, trouble is if anyone still has their owners manual, they need to look in the back of the book under "accessories" and their will be a listing of the paints.
I am looking at a 1998 owner's manual and I don't see your model listed-- However I do see a "Blue Spruce Metallic P228" for Indy XLTs and I see a "Deep Violet Metallic P230" for 600 RMKs. On the bottom of the page it says " Order direct from Midwest Industrial Coatings (612-934-8252). Mix as directed. I guess they would be the ones to call.. Hope that helps.. rl
Anyone know the paint code or color name for a 1997 Polaris Indy XLT Special 600? ok evenknow im new here i can help you with this, you need to take a peice of your sled with that color to a auto paint store, if they are progressive they will have a machine called a video spectrometer, it can look at a color and tell the paint guy how to mix it, it will be perfect, the down side is you will have to buy a quart but if you ever crack up the sled in the future you will have paint!, good luck.
