Hey guys,
I have a '91 Skidoo Safari 377 fan. I bought it used at the begining of this year. and low and behold, I blew a piston last week. I took it into the shop and got it checked out. Ones crap and the other is said to be okay. Now heres my question: I don't think that the pistons have every been replaced before. Should I get both done at the same time? or should one be fine?
one should be fine. I mean I have ridden sleds that have been re ringed re sleeved and just plain rebuilt but had stock pistons. If you have had detonation in a cylinder I would recommend replacing it but not if it just ran normal for a time.
