For some reason I thought that I had heard that I can fit my ultra with plastic skis from newer models. Is this true and if so are there any exceptions? Also am curious as to what other weight saving changes others have made. Thanks.
I think polaris pretty much used the same width spindle for many many years. The ones you have to be carefor of are the the pro-x's as I believe they used a narrower spindle.
Older indys had steel skis with a higher saddle mount and used a shorter spindle. Your ultra came with the newer lower saddle mounted steel ski. Thus any newer polaris plastic ski should be an easy swap.
