Disregard this post.. My buddy was wrong, the starter was spinning in the correct direction. He didn't have enough juice in the battery to get the Bendix to pop out... All is well now!
Polaris 680 starter spinning in reverse?
Does anyone happen to have a picture or diagram of how the 680 starter is wired? My buddy installed a new stater with the positive lead on the terminal and the negative on the bracket and he says its spinning in reverse.
I tried finding a diagram without any luck

Yes there is, my buddy was just looking at it from the wrong side, it was turning in the correct direction the whole time just didn't have enough power in his battery.... It works perfectly well.You do have solinoid in there,right
