Hello, first time poster.

Question I have is on Polaris primary springs. I know the old "square Almond primary spring was tapered and had to be installed with the taper towards the spider. Is the new spring that replaces it #7041945 the "round wire version" have a taper or need to be installed a certain way?

Ok now onto the clutch offset question. I recently put a electric start clutch on the sled and it says to have a 1" offset from the back of the ring gear to the back of the driven. I am reading .970 pushed all the way in and 1.010 pulled out towards the exterior which gives me about .040" end play on the jackshaft. is this acceptable or should I attempt to shim it more?

Thanks for any and all input!!!:sprite10:
