I've got a 91 Indy 400, last week I wrote in about a clutch problem I've tried a couple of different suggestions from you guys, I got the belt deflection to where it's suppose to be. I also loosened up the mounts just to make sure the motor had settled in place right. It seemed fine,I ran it for about 15 min, but now the belt deflection is to high again. Is something broke or did I not tightened the mounts enough,I thought I did.PLEASE HELP.thanks,Pete

Just check your center to center distance it should be 12" I think, then make sure your belt rides about 1/16 to 1/8" out on the secondary by shimming or adjustment. (If that year has the adjustable secondary.)Then dont worry about deflection.

I'd go with what hotrod is saying here...it makes sense. If your center to center and belt height in the secondary are set to spec, you should be good to go.
