i was wondering if the shocks will fit on the stock 1990 polaris indy 500 chassis. from what i heard the parts came from the exact stock machine i am installing the shocks onto, has anyone done this before?
i finished putting the shocks in the rear of the snowmobile. there is a huge difference! i no longer bottom out over the little bumps. tomorrow i will install the fronts. does anyone know any easy ways of doing this?
Not really. On them older sleds, the top bolts are absolute A$$holes to get off! My recommendation would be to drill a hold under the hood on the plastic belly pan so you can get a ratchet and socket onto the bolt. There;s almost ZERO room to get tools in the top of the shock tower.
