sounds about right for your application, you might need a little more carbide with 144, maybe 8 or 10.......[:)]

I am running 144- 1" studs and 8" Saber magnum carbides on my Triumph. Seems to work great.

I am also running 144 woody's gold diggers with aluminum backers on my Triumph. I believe my studs were .920" long after an entire season of riding they still look in great shape. I have not bent or broken one of them yet!!!

I even wrote up a tutorial for Polaris Files when i studded my track. Take a look http://www.polarisfiles.com/snowmobile/tutorials/howtostud/howtostud1.asp

Don't forget the tunnel protectors!!!

Yes and that article just reminded me, don't forget to put on tunnel protectors! If you have any questions on them don't hesitate to ask.
