I was going to use my 4 line oil pump from my 97 Monoblock triple for my new 96 SLP 654. My plan was to add the nipple on the PTO end and use the 97 4 port pump. When I was cleaning the 4 port up, I noticed it was cracked at the mounting flange all the way through to the o-ring boss on the inside, so I can't use that one. I have 2 other 96 3 port pumps that are identical( other than the fact that the fourth port is closed off.). So I went ahead and took it apart along with a 96 3 port and internally they are the same. The only difference is that the fourth port is drilled and tapped to receive the PTO side banjo fitting. It looks to me like it is a no brainer, remove the innards, drill through the casting plug and tap to receive the banjo fitting. Has anyone done this?
