I'm replacing a bent steering post on my rmk 800.

I have the four bolts out that hold the steering post to the chassis, now I can't get the bolts from the connecting rod (steering post to steering rack) out. They seem to be pressed on, and when I try to turn them the back just spins and there is no way to backup the back!

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

can you saw off the bots that you could disconnect the rack and the post?

I had the same problem. We had to cut the bolt off at both ends and then hit it out. I tried everything. I still aint' done. i'm rebuilding the whole front end on my sled. it's a 1995 indy 500. if you measure a sled ski to ski going from the outside it should be 46 inches. but mine was 48. so i had a lil problem. but yeah, you'll just have to cut the bolts. i hope that helps
