Help. Know nothing about snowmobiles and just got one with a house we
are buying. Has not been started in years but in decent shape. Trying to figure
out how to get rid of it or sell it and that starts with knowing the year model it
is. Is there an id no. anywhere on it besides the engine id on a plate on the side
of the engine? The engine plate says Model EC40P, 398cc, Motor No. 17751 by
FUJI in Japan. Any help regarding year made, name/model/, value if any would
be appreciated.

Looks like a '72 or '73 Polaris Charger 400.

Sent from a mobile telephonic contraption.

That's a tough one as I have never a dual headlight setup like that with the open engine in the middle. I looked online but came up empty with the closest thing being a Mercury, though those don't have the engine exposed like that. I would say its a late 1960s to early 70s sled. There were over 200 brands at one point and many from Canada. Polaris was the biggest user of Fuji engines but there were several other companies that used them as well. There should be some other identifications on the frame I would think, maybe a plate?
