Will a 1997 POLARIS XC 600 (INDY BODY STYLE)engine fit into my 1996 Polaris XLT Touring? Do the CLUTCH, CDI BOX, CARBS, COILS, and FUEL PUMP match, as the motor does not come with them? I would like to use my existing parts... Thankx in advance.

What exactly is an "INDY" Body style.. The '97 XC 600 is a wedge.. is your XLT a wedge or evovled..? you should be able to use your carbs and clutch, I don't know about the rest..?

Seems to me it would work.

I know the my XLTsp, and theXC and XCR 1997 engines were all the same. The only differences between my motor and a 'regular' xlt motor is the carbs and the heads. So it seems it should just drop in, plus you'd get the benefit of the bigger carbs and higher compression heads (altogether good for an extra 5hp).
