Add a quart of oil to a full tank of fuel, and don't hold the throttle in one position for more than about 5 seconds, till it's empty.

After that, have fun.

Why is it you are needing to change the ring in the first plce? Compression Low? Every engine top end that i rebuild I mic the cyclinder's and pistons to find out if there withen spec. Is you cyclinders nickelsil? Wich is a plating on the inner cyclinder walls. Just trying to send you down the right road so you are not taring it back down again to do it right.
