I have been playing with my suspesion preload and have a question. I have adjusted the blocks the preload the rear spring (torsion?) I have had it on the lightest setting all the way to the heaviest setting but none of them are able to return the sled to the fully extended point it seem like the sled still sags a couple of inches under its own weight. I have to manually pull it up a bit.
Is this normal or is it a sign of worn out spring or dampener? Would tightening the the track front coil-over help?
Any input would be appreciated.
Oh yeah its an 00 XC700SP.

The rear suspension should sag 1.5 to 2 inches on that model without a rider aboard accoring to the owners manual. You should adjust the rear springs so that the suspension is about half way through the travel when sitting on the seat in the normal riding position.
