bought a new sled this fall so i went out to change the sliders tonight and i can't get the rear bolts out.Its a 2002 skidoo mxz, the hex bolts or w/e. Used an impact gun still wouldnt move. what should i do! thanks for your input.
You need to loosen the left side first then the right will come out.(Right as if looking toward the front from the rear) If it doesnt work that way then flip those directions around. You need another socket or wrench on the other side to stop the bolt from spinning freely.
my buddy discovered this on his when we went to change the slides ... he just notched out a lil piece on each side of 1 window the the slide would fit through ... turned the track a few windows then did the other side so they werent right next to each other ... i know a few guys that have done this and never had a problem with the track ripping or breaking ... all u need is less than a 1/4 inch on each side of the window
