I am rebuilding my 94 Indy XLT from the crankshaft up and was looking for a recommendation on which name brand parts to use. I am not looking to put any performance parts in just the plan factory OEM type parts. I've looked at Wiseco pistons but was wondering if there is a good alternative and not as costly. I also need all new crank bearings. Thanks for the help.

SPI pistons are a good alternative. I just put them in both my machines. The skirts are coated and the the tops are hard anodized.

i have heard the same, but i think alot of guys just cram them in there without giving enough piston clearance. wiescos are forged, and when you go forged they will grow more then a cast piston with temp, and if you don't have enough clearance machined in u will stick them
