i have a Polaris Indy 400 runs good but the red light comes on what would be the problem? i put anti-freeze in it still the red light comes on anyone know what it could be???

Either the temp sensor is bad, or the water pump belt is broken/slipping.

How long do you ride before the light comes on? How low on coolant was it before you added more? What caused it to get low on coolant? What snow conditions are you riding in when the light comes on? Hard packed snow, or was there some powder on top?

Try packing some snow on the running boards when you are riding. I had the same problem when the outside temp is too high. Pack the running boards and she runs great.....

yeah thats what i did before but i did check the belt not sliping my snowmobile does not have a thermastat.
