The main rear shock in my skid has seen better days, I was wondering if i could use any other brands, or an aftermarket rear shock for a replacement, The sled is a 93 Polaris Indy 440 , the shock measures roughly 14-3/4 inches from eye to eye, but that is a kimpex pro gold that has already replaced the original, So any ideas on what other shocks come close to fitting this sled/shock, and does the length of other shocks have to be exact or can it be a little off, I would need a heavy duty shock because I do alot of agressive driving.
Thanks

My '92 XCR 440 had Fox in the rear so look for a shock from a XCR of your year and get it rebuit if it has not been already. B4 I put an XTRA 10 in that old '92 suspension with the Fox shocks rode pretty good for how old it was.

I would just replace it with another Kimpex. Your sled is getting kinda old, throwing in an expensive shock will not make it work better than it did before. The Kimpex will last a couple seasons without emptying your wallet.
