As long as I am gonna have a garage this weekend, thinking I will replace the slides also in my 1993 polaris classic touring 500. I read the postings on how to replace. What I am not sure is the size for these. Can I just measure them and base it upon length? Are there other things I should know. (Plan on stopping at Fleet Farm as they have a bunch on hand)

Tried to google for parts overview with actual size but was not successful.

In my opinion just go to your local dealer and ask them for some hyfax for a 93 touring 500. All you have to do is take the old ones out and cut the new ones to the same length as of the old ones. Really easy Job. Hope this helps.

you cut them to length so you don't need a measurement.
what you will need is a profile. luckily almost all polaris use the same profile.
if fleet farm has lots of them they should have a profile guide.

Look at royal distributing as they have pictures of all the different profiles for slides. And like said above its really asy to change. Just cut to proper length and slide on. SOmetimes a little oil helps them slide on easier.

That is a must. i use dish soap but any lube makes a world of a differance.
