i don't believe you can. you couldn't on our 76 jag.
most of the suspension on those old ones is in the cushyness of the seat []

get some coustom suspetion brackets made at ur local machine shopand then drop the front backet a 1/2in or so.wedid this to a sled and it put the nose way into the ground witch isnt a ig deal if u dont ride powder. one more thing it makes it a little harder to steer.
