Do any of you know if there is a factory default with the 2000 and 2001 RMK 800's for the crank. I was out with 2 rmk's, one was a 2000 800, one of the pins in the crank broke, it had about 800miles on it, then i was out with a 2001 800 and the same thing happened, a couple of my other friends had the same problem last year and one more this year that i wasn't with and it was the little pin in every case. Don't know if thats just really bad luck or what. have any of you guys heard about this?

Check the bearing on the clutch side of the motor, there is a oil line that feed the crank bearing if you get a hole in the line the bearing gets no oil and melt down. This happend on my dads 2000 800 rmk. The bearing started to go out and it broke the pin. I think that they fixed the problem on the 2002 models.
