So i went riding today for the first time this season, and after maybe 20minutes of riding the engine started running really(kinda sounds like maybe only firing on one but was'nt). then if i let off the throttle it would die and try to put itself in reverse, sometimes it succeeded in putting itself in reverse most of the time it just stalled out after the reverse light came on. what's that problem??
the sled is a 06' 600 Polaris RMK 144" track

Look for error code blinking on the ECU. Check for corroded connectors or mouse chewed wiring.

Is it fuel injected? (sorry not up to date on Polaris)

If it carb, I would say they are dirty, so wont idle and when the RPM drops it wants to go into reverse.

turns out it the CDI module. an apparent fault with some RMK models unplugged and dried out the connection added some electrical grease and plugged er back together. works like a charm
