I have been doing some speed running this winter and want to tell people not to waste money on pipes or just any clutch kit. on my 800xcr my own clutch kit for the trail pulls 108.4 consistantly. the same sled with slp pipes and there clutch kit run 106. the guy couldnt believe it.
we dont have the good fuel anymore so you need to tune the sled every day to take advantage of the extra power your suppose to have.
stock clutching pull hard from low to mid.
aftermarket kit pulls hard from low to mid, but it is faster than stock so it seems faster on top. I buy my parts from Hinkley motors 320 384 7574 Luke is a fun guy and we bs a lot. He custom builds clutch kits that run a couple mph faster than an hot seat or erlandson but you save 50 dollars and the kit is made for your specific machine and rider.
