Tug Hill NY Ride January 7-8

How many miles or what kind of riding does everyone want to do? This will help us figure out how to split up and everything and the best places to ride to

This map shows where Tug Hill is in perspective to the rest of New York

we will be meeting at Martys at 10 am saturday. On that map, the purple thing which is above Timberview is where Martys is, right off of Route 26 (it is to the right of where the name Martys is)

We will be riding the loop up to Stillwater on Saturday. Of course, we're definitely going to look for some fun places to play around at on the way there and back. Stillwater reservoir is 11 miles long and should be awesome if its frozen solid. On Sunday, if anyone is up for it we will most likely make a loop down to boonville and back, and of course mess around in between.

Please REPLY to this if you will be able to come.

Lots of snow is predicted. check it out

as many miles as we put on, and any kind of riding.
Trails (on and off [;)]) fields.....not sure if any lakes will be in by that weekend, but if they are, let's go.
How many people are riding?

My husband, and maybe between 2 and 10 more riders with us, depending on what everyone's got going on.

I'm going to try and get a Friend or two to come with me. One friend says hes in as long as nothing comes up, but no promises. So probably me and a friend possibly 2.

I will ride any thing. Id like to get off trail and play, lakes res' etc. Theres always spots to play in the powder assuming by then there is a decent amount.

Also I dont know how many of us are over 21, but I dont wanna end up in a bar for long periods of time other than eating. Im thinking in one day 100 miles should be a goal. Its a fairly easy goal and we should get a trail map when we all meet in person and plan a destination. Where abouts in Tug Hill is the ride going to start anyways?

100 miles is nothing in tug hill you can do that by 2 in the afternoon if we leave at 10 am. there is alot of off trail opertunities throughout tug hill, just have to make sure there aren't signs posted to keep out. most of the trails in tug hill are big and fast as long as there is good snow.and the weekend we are going on shouldn't be to busy for the reason its right after
the holiday.

I love my beer but i think i can go with dubstar and not waste the day in a bar, I would rather be on the trails.

IMO, its not how many miles you put on its how much fun you have throughout the day. let's just plan the route, and leave some time to play in the powder and lakes or whatever else. i say we make the loop to stillwater and back. maybe down to boonville on sunday if anybodys up for it. I'm sure everyone will like 11 miles of plain open reservoir if its frozen up good
