hey guys, I'm wrenchind for my buddy tommorow, and need to clean his carbs, he runs a ski-doo mxz 440 fan ('97)
I'm just wondering how the airboxes come off on those. is it the same as the yamaha's? with the bolt down thru the body? I think I heard somewhere that they have straps or something holding them on. I don't know, I"ll be able to figure it out I'm sure, but this can save me some time.
thanks : )
they may be called snowmobiles, but hiding behind that is a cheap excuse to not grass drag.
I have no idea. Just remove all the visible parts then slowly try to remove it. Don't apply a lot of force. That way you can see if there is something else holding it on.
ya, I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out, if all else fails I can do it like an old phazer and leave the airbox on, but I don't think it'll come to that.

It doesn't really give assembly / disassembly instructions, but it's more of a parts catalogue online with some really great pictorials on how it all fits .. It has just about every skidoo from around 87 up to now ..

And come someone answer me this: Why do my apostrophies look like quotation marks?? Or am I the only one seeing that?
