The sled is ready enough to be ridden. Still needs some tuning to the carbs and come clutch adjustments. Still extremely fast. Rides a lot nicer than expected. My dad put about 1/4 mile on it, and I rode as far as you saw. Clutch engagement is set right around 4800rpm's and I couldnt turn which is why theres all the on and off throttle.

It running smoothly? Seems to sound rough at low speeds? Or is that just the pipes making it sound like that?

Mostly just the pipes and the sleds not tuned perfect like said above. Probably making around 160hp right now, and with the current compression should be right around 185-190 is what we're thinking. It's running on 100LL right now.

Did your dad leave that with the stock 440 gearing?

If you gear that up a bit, you'll get less ski lift when you flap the flipper.

Other than that, sounds good.. Don't try watercrossing it, I'd hate to see all yer dads hard work wasted.

The only thing 440 on there is the hood. He's actually using the factory Mach Z 800 gearing and chain. The limiter straps are almost all the way tightened to.
