I was wondering which of these four manufacturers are the oldest and who has the most heritage? What company puts in the most craftsmanship?

Technically its Bombardier ( which for snowmobiles is BRP for Bombardier Recreational Products ). I dont remember the guys first name, but his last name was Bombardier and he was creating machines that drove on snow before the 20's.

EDIT: Ah, trickpaint you beat me to it.

BRP is the oldest manufacture, but polaris was the first to mass produce sleds which is what I had in mind when I posted that.

Polaris was started in 1954 then Edgar Hetteen left Polaris and started Arctic Cat in the early 60's. There is an autobiography by Edgar called Breaking Trail, which he talks about starting both companies. It is definitely worth reading.
