1991 Ski-Doo Safari 447[:0]fan is challenging my newly rebuilt 1989 Ski-D00 Formula MX 462 liquid dual carbs[].

What do you think would win in a race[?] Either accelartion or top end. Ok thanks. Also what would be the top speed of each machine[?]

Hmm.. 447 fan? they make that? I do know they make 377 , 440 , 503 rotax fan cooled ones.. but not sure about 447?? but I would guess 0 to 50 MPH both sleds would be probably pretty much even side by side, but then that 470 liquid would pull away from fan cooled sleds...... top speed for fan cooled is about 80 on good conditions ... and 470 should be near 90 ish. again on good conditions as well.

i would say that the formula would toast the safari. I'm not sure about the 447 either. I have a 91 safari 377.

I know what the 447 is. its basically a Safari Scout with a 440cc rotax fan motor. My buddy's dad had one years ago and we used it all the time. it was a nice sled but not fast at all, MIGHT do 70mph. the mx will absolutely destroy it, not even worth the effort.

Yeah, and thing liquid around the same cc should kill the fan... For that age group anyway.
