Do risers actually improve the ride that much? I'm 6'5" and run stock bars (adjustable) on both of my sleds and they seem like my hands and arms are plenty high already.

Depends if you want more height or not. Some of the older sleds had non adjustable bars.

I like my bars higher than my knees. On my xcr the bars were so low I would hit my knees everytime I turned.

Mine were hitting my knees to, thats what got me to put the 2" riser on, now I want to go to a 3"-4" riser for jumping so I can stand straight up.

I added the riser so I could push the bars forward.... to give me some room on my ride. I am 6' 4".

It added some height...but moved them forward.. a big plus
