Hello from the town of Halfway in NE Oregon just south of the Eagle Cap Wilderness area. [8D]

We have the most snow of any place in the NW this year, I think, but are way down from previous years. At our local Snow Park trail head there is only about 15 inchs but at the higher play areas there is over 9 feet of good firm snow with about 10 inchs new on top, as of 2/17/03. Trails are groomed at least once a week more if new snow has fallen.

We have had sledheads from all over the west in town and they all complain about the lack of snow in their areas [:(] and rave about how good it is here. [^]

There is plenty of riding here with lots of hills and bowls and open play areas. Our elevation ranges from 3500 feet at the Snow Park to about 7000 feet at the higher riding areas toping out at about 8000 feet. During the week you may see only 3 or 4 riders all day and the scenery is spectacular.

If any of you get a chance come on over and play and have some fun. [:D] If you can't, I hope that you get some snow in your areas soon. BFN [:X]
