96 xltsp 597 why is the coolant coming out of the over flow when you ride for about 3miles. the sled has 3640mi.

It's over serviced.

It might look like it's filled right when it isn't warm, but as the sled is heating up and the coolant is expanding it is doing so enough that it spills over.

Drain a little bit out, and ride on.[:D]

the temp light was coming on also after it slobbered

Than your overheating.


There is no "problem" with your sled. The problem is with either the lack of snow, or the temperature, both nothing you can control.

Maybe a bad water pump,belt,cap,suction hose collapsing, etc. Sounds like something is making it boil over. Sometimes a bad head gasket will cause that, but I think thats more of a 4-stroke thing. 2-strokes usually just eat it till it's gone. You might want to pressure check the system to be sure.
