95' XCR 600 makes awfull squeeks when the clutch engages. Tryed cleaning the sheaves but it still squeels. Any tips?

You need to make sure you have the correct belt
Check the side clearance on the primary between belt and sheeves.
It could be missalignment of clutches or a short belt.

Check belt deflection (any Polaris dealer can tell you) If it is too tight it will ride on the center (shaft) part of the clutch making awful noises.

check your belt and see if the sides are glassy if they are that would make the noise. If its not the belt try lubing the clutch a little. If none of them work try what the others said that just aswell may be the problem. GOOD LUCK!

You were right Hyperman, it was too tight.
The inside nubbs of the belt are melted. I just loosened the cap on the secondary and rotated it to approx 3.5 to 4 position. Belt rides down in a little better now. thanks for the help guys.
