my old cat takes a 6260 sa bulb but i found that a wholesaler that sells a halogen bulb for this application and even a heavy duty halogen bulb, are these bulbs worth the diffrance in price 2/3 more, ? are they less likey to burn out? or more vibration resistant? just wondering because im thinking of changing over to these, what are your opinions on this subject? any one done this?

if its not a CAT, then it must be a dog!

I think that they would be worth the price....they should be cheap anyhow. They will be brighter, and the heavy duty one should be tougher as well.

Yes, big difference but you mentioned 'less likely to burn out'. Do you go through a lot of bulbs? In two years I've only had to replace one bulb on all 8 of my sleds and we do a lot of night riding so we always opt for a halogen. If you are going through the bulbs any faster than one a year you may have a more complicated electrical problem. My $.02
