I have a 97 storm trail improver. Nothing to special. 8600rpm htg pipes, 39.2 carbs, iantomasi trail porting. Welded and trued crank. Motor runs strong. Have good cylinder wash and pulls good rpm from start to finish. Can’t seem to get good times. Best I’ve ran so far is a 6.6 in the 1/8th. Running a 40/32 helix with the stock blue spring, thundershifts Weights and a cat purple spring. I haven’t had too much time to do any testing either. Wondering if anyone had any input on my clutching. I bought the next stiffer sec spring which is a grey/blue. And my gearing is perfect for the 18th. Anywhere passed 660 I start to run out of gear. If anyone has a good stArting point suggestion let me know.
