I am planning on studing my machine this season. I have seen many paterns posted, well actually two. Woody's uses a v patern that you can expand the number of studs easily. The other one is the one that DK and other catalogs have published in them, wich are more complex. I was wondering wich one is the best to use.

Listen to Woody's. They know their studs. :p The V-Pattern in more for acceleration as with the cross-pattern is designed to assist in cornering.

i have no clue about what stud patterns are different... help me realize the general idea... i know about placement so its not running on slides or ripping sled up

Duct tape much like the force... it has a light side, a dark side.... and it holds the world together!

The more 'scratch lines' the better. And the least number of times the pattern repeats the better. I purchased a template from Cat and just used their pattern for 192, 32 scratch lines, repeats 4 times in a V pattern. Seems to work great.
