How many studs should I put in my machine? 1998 XLT Limited with B&B Eliminator. I am an aggressive trail rider.

I would only run 144 down the middle.

Ok, how about 120? That is what it says for Aggressive Trail Riding in a book I have.

I'm running 96 up the middle in the aggressive style on my 97 XLT SP. But when I clutch it, I'm going to add 24 more to the middle. I'd run 120 up the middle if I were you.....it would be a good balance.

Well, sience you've got a starting point, run 96 up the middle. Go out and try it, and if it's not enough add another 24 in the middle.

It really is personal preference. Run what you like. Like RotaxAtax
said, put in 96, and go from there.
