could somebody explain the difference between the wedge indy and evolved style sled. i am looking at some triple pipes off a 1996 polaris xcr sp and i have a 1995 polaris xcr, will they fit?

thanks for any help

they most likely wont fit. The Wedge style is your sled, it's the squared off polaris body/hood. The evolved is the next generation and has a more rounded body/hood. The hoods have different clearance and as a result most likely the pipes wont fit.

The XCR 600 in 95 was in the indy chassis (wedge) and the 1996 XCR 600 SP was in the "Agressive" style chassis.

Indy or Wedge chassis:

Evolved Chassis:

Agressive Chassis:
/polarisman/../images/users/Bigwilly/1997stormse.gif

Also pipes for the 96 most likely won't fit your sled. Best bet would be to get one designed for your exact sled.

They also won't work because those 2 sleds have different motors in them. The '95 is the monoblock piston port 597 that is used in the Xlt's. The '96 Xcr sp is the case reed 600 motor.
