Suposedly the RPM is low on the first one because of a warm day.

What exact Polaris model is that? That's cool. How did you take the pics if most camera's have the shutter button on the right side, and yet your throttle is also on the right side? I suppose it wouldn't be too hard.

Why did you post those here? They arn't your's,and your making people belive they are. The real owner's website can easily be linked...

info: He jacked them off of http://www.hardcoresledder.com for those of you who don't know. Specifically, this URL: http://www.robertlyonsphotography.com/snowmobiling/speedopics.htm

Take it easy man, he never said they were his, although he never said they weren't either. He also should have linked to it, but u aren't the one to give him crap for it either. If you have such a big problem, we have the "Alert Moderator" feature. Use it.

Erick, do you consider 8100 RPM to be idling???

Whats your problem dude!?! Chill out! I NEVER said they were mine, nor did I imply they were. Your attitude it totally unjustified and way out of line. And like Pman said, it sure as hell isn't your place to dictate to me. If you disagree with something I've done, you either PM me or alert the moderator. You DON'T post crap like that here!

Now as for those pics, of course there not mine! All anyone has to do (as you so eloquently pointed out) is click on them to find where they really came from, personally I don't think your giving anyone else enough credit to figure that out on their own. If this isn't the proper format to display other peoples pics, and only posting the link is....then thats what I'll be sure to do in the future.

If I'm reading too much into your post, then I take back what I said. If I'm not, then it stands!

wow, you guys do have alot of pent up "didnt get enough snowmobiling in this year anger" . lets all just chill out. to me it doesnt matter to me whos pics they were, and i think everyone else doesnt care much either, but we all understand where you are comming from here ripperd, or at least i do.
oh and its real easy to take pics of your tach and speedo, all you have to do is put the back of your sled up on a stand, sit on it, then pin the throttle and snap the shot, remember, the tach is drivin by the eletricity, and the speedo will move regardless if the sled isnt.

lol, where shall I start?

Ok, I can see in your first post you didn't intend people to think they were yours, i just saw the reply that thought they were yours, and thought you could have explained where you saw them. And, i wouldn't expect most people to view the html to find where the picture originated.

I didn't think my msg was too out of line, i didn't call you names, I didn't swear, I stated where they came from, and that they weren't yours, information you left us to imagine.(so mabe I did use the word "jacked", heh)

And no, i think convienently making them in-lines is A-OK. Easier than linking them for the viewers.

I just thought that you should atribute the source, since you knew where they came from. Personally, I have exchanged messages with Rob on rec.sport.snowmobiles, and respect him, and would like people to know that the XC-700 speedo pic is his, and the ZR800 pic is Jeff's (another NG regular).

That's all really.

Heh, heh....hey no problem man, apparently I over reacted just a bit (read: understatement)...sorry about that. It's been a crappy wk at work. It just seemed like you were "busting" me or something, no big deal.

It did seem like some ppl thought they were in fact mine, in which case I certainly would of given credit to the site I saw them on today, and yeah, I could of made it more clear in the original post.

Rob's got a great site, some real kick a$$ pics on there. If anyone wants to check em out: http://www.robertlyonsphotography.com/snowmobiling/

Anyways no hard feelings.

Don't call me police. That's an insult. I don't want ppl fighting though, and what ripperd said could very well make someone mad. It's not his place to give anyone crap for anything, that is the duty of moderators, if they didn't do that, what would be the point?

Truce. I think it's all settled now...

being called the police, an insult? What your job is, is to police the forums.

Actually my job is to maintain the forum and keep it running, keeping jerks in line is just a perk of the job.

The police work is for moderators.
