I am switching my 92 indy 500efi to carb and was wondering what all I can take off of it. Do I need any of the things that are on the battery box? How about the wiring harness can I get rid of all the parts that run to an efi part of it? I want to get everything I can out of there. Thanks

on the RXL's you could basicly take out anything to do with the fuel injection system and just leave the wireing for the rest of the sled. becides carbs you will also need a fuel pump and pulse line to the crank case installed.

What about the wiring harness it will have alot of extra wires laying around...could I get a harness of a regular carb sled? Would it hook to the hood harness? Thanks

just get a hood and main harness off of a carb sled, you could probably find one at a scrap yard or cl for around 25 bucks. That would be alot easier than clipping back unused wires and junk.

you don't have to clip any wires...the efi system is a totaly different harnes...just remove it and related componets.
