I have a 01 formla 600 that even when i adjust the idle screw at first it will read the rpms then after a minunte or 2 it goes back to zero when u stop riding and let idle even for a second. Unless i set the idle screw to 2000 or higher rpms. It also seems that the motor vibrates a little more than i thought but u can only tell when the hood is open and u whatch the motor seem to vibrate a little. I am used to a tripple so is this normal?
The hood was off at one time but it looked like a clean conection.
Thanks for advice.

You have a short somewhere and the vibrations in a certain RPM range are what keeps it connected.

Unless your not getting the voltage at lower RPM's. Have you noticed if the headlights get dim or don't light up at all at idle?
